When was the last time you gave up on a goal? When was the last time you accomplished one?

You’re beating the odds here if you’re achieving more goals than you’re giving up on.

That’s because most of us give up on our goals at some point, and a lot of us give up after just a few weeks of trying.1


Why? Sometimes, we’re just not ready for a change. So, we lack motivation.

Other times, we’re biting off more than we can chew, and we don’t set ourselves up to succeed.

Failing with our goals only happens when we stop working on them. 


So, if you haven’t achieved some goal yet, changing your approach — and embracing the power of small daily actions — could be the solution you’re looking for. Any one of us can start taking small daily actions to make real progress toward bigger achievements. It doesn’t matter how many times we’ve tried before or what we’re working toward.


If we have a daily plan of attack with the right steps laid out, we can stay on track to accomplish unbelievable goals in finance and in life.

After you turn a certain age (currently 73), the IRS requires that you withdraw at least a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) from your tax-deferred accounts each year. There's one plot twist to keep in mind: Starting in 2023, the RMD beginning age increased to age 73. So, if you turned 72 in 2023, you won't have to take your first RMD until April 1, 2025.
